About IBA

IBA is a naturally occurring auxin found in willows and some other species’ leaves and seeds. IBA has been in use for more than 70 years, but has almost exclusively been used as a root starter for cuttings and associated applications to enhance root regeneration.

IBA produces larger root masses by stimulating root growth through accelerating the rate of mitosis in plants and trees in which it is applied. Through this stimulated rate of cell division, IBA enhances a plant or tree’s overall rate of growth, without the use of additional fertilizers.
